Senior Teams Go 3 From 3
Eis Häre ware bei hirem éischte Match vum Weekend fest decidéiert eng Victoire erauszespillen. Steesel ass géint eis mat 3 auslännesche Spiller ugetrueden. Mir haten eng gutt Trefferquote vun der 3-Punkten-Linn, hunn eis Defense progressiv wärend dem ganze Match verbessert an all Spiller huet säi Bescht ginn, soubal en um Terrain stoung. Mir hunn eng sécher Féierung erausgespillt an obwuel eis Géigner wieder gekämpft hunn, si mir hinnen dervu gezunn an dëst mëscht eis Victoire fir eis nach méi wäertvoll.
D‘Zil war kloer, och den zweete Match vum Weekend wollte mir gewannen. Besonnesch am 3. Véierel hu mir gewise wat mir kënnen an doduerch hu mir e Virsprong vun 20 Punkten erausgespillt. No enger éischt ganz serréiert Hallschent, bäi där mir d’Nues ëmmer e klengt Stéckelche vir haten, hunn eis Jongen eng super zweet Hallschent gewisen, bäi där quasi jiddereen seng Chance um Terrain kritt huet. D’Schlussresultat mat enger Avance vun nëmme méi 10 Punkte weist, dass mir villäicht e besselchen ze relax an de leschte Minutte waren. Dëst soll eis eng Léier fir déi zukünfteg Matcher sinn.
Eis Damme konnten sech mat engem Punkt Avance géint d’Zolwer, déi eis nach mat der Schluss-Siren en 3er geschoss hunn, duerchsetzen. Mir hu vill Feeler an der Defense gemaach a waren dacks ofgelenkt, hate vill Turnovers an hunn de Ball bäi Rebound net richteg ënner Kontroll kritt. Doduerch haten déi Zolwer Dammen natierlech oft d’Chance ze punkten an dëst hätt eis och bal d’Victoire kascht. Et gëtt nach vill Punkten déi mir musse verbesseren awer trotz allem, gewonnen ass gewonnen!

Regarding the Men’s team first game against Steinsel, despite the opponent showing up with 3 non-jicl players, our guys went to the court decided to get their first win of the season. With a good percentage from behind the 3-point line, with a progressive defensive improvement throughout the game and with every player available to count minutes on the floor, our team managed to build a comfortable lead which never seemed to really affect the visitors’ will to keep fighting, valuing this win even more.
With the clear ambition to win their second game of the weekend, it was during the third quarter that the team showed all their game reaching a 20-point lead. After a close first half, but always with the lead, our guys had high level second half, with almost all players having game time. The final 10-point gap shows how relaxed the team got in the final minutes which should be a lesson for future games.
As for the Women’s team, our girls managed to get away with the win, by the minimum margin, with Soleuvre scoring a 3-pointer at the buzzer. The constant defensive mistakes and distractions, the high number of turnovers and the poor control on the rebound event allowed Soleuvre to create way more chances to score the ball and almost cost us the game. There’s a lot to improve for the next games but, nevertheless, a win is win.
